I’ve been selected to train local San Francisco artists from the American Indian Cultural District and the Transgender Cultural District in grant writing. “The Transformative Grant Writing training program. Seeding Reciprocity is designed to train a group of
community members in grant-seeking and proposal-writing who will then share these skills with San
Francisco’s historically underserved, community-based artists. In the process, participants will meet and
collaborate with peers, and they will receive coaching and mentoring to enrich their professionalism and
hone their fundraising skills. Seeding Reciprocity is funded by the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC)
in partnership with Kuaaina Associates. Kuaaina Associates and SFAC share the approach of using the
expertise and experience of community members to advance the arts of San Francisco’s rich Cultural
Districts.”
